If you pay state taxes in Ohio, you can repurpose that money to fund life-changing educational opportunities for students at Harambee Christian School thanks to Ohio’s new Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) Tax Credit Program.
The Columbus Opportunity Scholarship Fund is a brand new certified SGO in the state of Ohio that enables donors to receive a dollar-for-dollar matching tax credit, up to $750 for individuals or $1,500 for married couples filing jointly, when making a gift in support of scholarships for students at Harambee Christian School.
That’s right. You can use your taxes to fund a cause you care about and receive a dollar-for-dollar matching amount when filing your Ohio state taxes. (This is not the same as the standard charitable deduction - this is a tax CREDIT.)

While this exciting new opportunity expands the school’s fundraising horizons, it does not replace the generous sustaining support made by donors throughout the year.
